At Magic Pencil, sustainability and social responsibility are fundamental to how we operate. We’re committed to making better choices in the ways that matter most for our team, our clients and the wider community.
We embed responsibility in how we run the company: transparency, confidentiality by default, and decisions that consider all stakeholders. Ethical conduct and data protection are standard practice, not extras.
We invest in people and culture. Our space supports both focus and recovery (yes, fresh air and the lake help), we promote from within, and we train apprentices. Flexibility, inclusion, and fair pay underpin how the team works and grows. It’s a collaborative, family-like culture built around curiosity, conversation, and stories from the world beyond the office. There’s even a friendly walking challenge, with lunch on the line.
We try to be useful locally. We favour nearby suppliers and check alignment with a simple questionnaire. We give time to community initiatives (for example, volunteering days) and, in strong years, contribute to local charities while matching employee donations.
As an office-based team our footprint is modest, but every choice counts. We reduce energy use, avoid single-use items, choose eco-friendly supplies, minimise printing, compost where possible, and encourage low-carbon commuting. For necessary travel, we consider ways to mitigate impact.
In line with B Lab standards, we disclose that Magic Pencil has provided services to a company in the pharmaceutical industry within the past five years. We remain committed to responsible, values-aligned communication and are transparent about all client work.
