We’re delighted to officially announce the opening of our Magic Pencil creative communications agency in London.

Thanks to our diverse team, our hubs in Geneva, Lausanne, and Rome, and the Taan Worldwide, we have a solid international presence. But we were hungry for something more – a city of action and activation – the right place for us in one of the Europe’s coolest cities.

That’s why we are now operating out of a brand-new working space in the heart of Whitechapel, East London, a place like no other, with a legendary reputation for art, advertising, and all things creative.

Remote working lets us access global talent while keeping a solid foothold in Switzerland through our historic base in Lausanne. From London, the next generation of Magic Pencil creative talent is activating the sustainability campaigns of the future.

Our new space is X+Why, which was once (and still is) a hub for philanthropy, community, and social action. It was the location for the original Salvation Army Mission Hall – which supplied food to the local area.

Today, it features five levels of beautifully designed co-working and meeting rooms, an event space for up to 120 people, showers, a bike store, sunlit gardens, complimentary brunches, networking events and an extremely adorable bulldog. Seriously, come meet him. It’s worth it.

X+Why take sustainability seriously. The building has a BREEM ‘Excellent’ rating, and B Corp certified where members get various bonuses. The space features eco-friendly, bio-diverse roofs, low LED feature lighting, 456 interior plants, x5 Carbon offset, zero to landfill – waste is recycled, composted, or converted to energy.
